Craft your own heirloom-quality Shaker boxes in this immersive two-part class! We will make a complete set of five oval Shaker Boxes (#0 through #4) using traditional methods and materials. The bands and tops will be cherry and the bottoms pine. Students will go through the complete process of building the boxes. In the first session we will prepare the bands and carve the Swallowtails. After soaking, the bands will be bent, tacked and set aside to dry.
