Explore the natural world through forged metal in this hands-on botanical forging class. Students will learn fundamental blacksmithing techniques while forging a variety of leaves, flowers, stems, and other organic forms from steel.

You’ll also be introduced to plasma cutting to create shapes from sheet metal and MIG welding to assemble your work. Using these skills, each student will design and create a unique botanical sculpture that combines traditional forging with modern metalworking techniques.

No previous blacksmithing or welding experience is required.
