In this 3-day class, you will learn the fundamentals of furniture making through the process of making a small side table from rough sawn lumber. You will mill lumber, practice making mortise and tenon joints, and learn about various finishes, including milk paints, that can make your tables fun and unique. We will use a combination of stationary machines, handheld power tools, and hand tools so students can learn how to complete each step of the process with the tooling they have access to when they return home.
